Part of the rally included a presentation from a potential investor and strong supporter of the sport who has experience with hockey management. The local community has come together with a number of options to pursue team ownership alternatives.  Additional meetings are being planned to define the structure of the new organization.

Says league President Ron Whitehead, on behalf of the SIJHL I am extremely proud to offer league congratulations to the local Sioux Lookout committee and their loyal hockey fans for not only saving their team but being able to do it so quickly. I look forward to working with the new executive and can only envision a strong, dedicated organization that will be with us for years to come.

Over 100 people attended and strong financial support was pledged to the club.  The operation of the organization will continue with practices and games planned beginning on Wednesday Nov 19th against the Dryden Ice Dogs, and two home games on the weekend of Saturday Nov 22nd and Sunday afternoon followed by a meet and greet of your local ‘Flyers.’  Facilitators of the meeting and rally look forward to a great turnout from fans and supporters alike for the games.
