The city of Summerside, PEI will host the 2008 CJHL Prospects Game, a showcase that will see the best Junior A hockey players in Canada face off at Credit Union Place on December 16th & 17th. Sioux Lookout Community Shows Support for Flyers

The SIJHL is proud to announce the residents of the community of Sioux Lookout came out en masse to support the town’s Junior A ‘Flyers’ on a Friday November 14th afternoon rally at a local community hall. The former owner of the Flyers walked away from the team as of Tuesday November 11th. Local organizers and former volunteer management want to see the team survive and reached out to the citizens and business community to assist with taking ownership of the team. View full story

The SIJHL announced late Tuesday night that Game #49 between the visiting Sioux Lookout Flyers and the Fort William North Stars is postponed. The match-up was scheduled for a 7:30pm puck drop at the Fort William Gardens in Thunder Bay. In addition, Games 50 and 51, scheduled for Thursday and Friday November 13 and 14, Sioux Lookout Flyers at Thunder Bay Bearcats, have also been postponed. We apologize for the inconvenience. Ice Dogs Shock North Stars

THUNDER BAY, Ont.—The Dryden Ice Dogs rallied from a two-goal deficit and went on to a dramatic 6-5 victory in a shootout over the Fort William North Stars in Superior International Junior Hockey League action Saturday evening at the Fort William Gardens.
